7 Cities, 1 Book is a literary collaborative between the public libraries of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach and the Suffolk Art League.

 

The goal of 7 Cities, 1 Book is to promote the value of reading and to build a sense of community by engaging the residents of Hampton Roads in talking about the same book at the same time.

 

For the inaugural 7 Cities, 1 Book event, participating organizations selected the novel, "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.

From April 13 - May 18, 2015, there will be a variety of programs offered by each organization related to the novel book discussions, movies, art exhibits, panel discussions and more.
